Arts & Cultural Interests
The city of St. Augustine FL has a very exciting art and cultural
scene. The city is home to dozens of art galleries, theater and film
organizations, and hosts tons of live music performances every year.
Flagler College frequently hosts new gallery openings where the
public can go see work exhibited by the fine arts students of the
college. Many restaurants in St. Augustine have venues that offer
live music while you dine. The Intracoastal Waterway has a number of
clubs and nightspots that offer live music as well.
Flagler College’s Flagler Auditorium is the region’s premiere
Performing Arts Center. With 1,000 seats, the auditorium hosts
everything from nationally touring Broadway to chamber music, family
theater, symphonies, celebrity entertainment, big bands, and even
more. The 35,000 square feet of space is encompassed by beautiful
architecture that offers high acoustical quality.
